Welcome to Julie's Jugs, your destination for beautifully painted canal ware. I am a waterways artist and a proud narrowboat owner. Many years ago, I graduated with qualifications in drawing and art, but I shifted my career towards engineering while keeping my artistic passion as a cherished hobby. My favorites have always been still life, landscapes, and seascapes in watercolour. Recently, this hobby has blossomed into canal art, allowing me to create stunning narrowboat decor. When engineering becomes overwhelming, and I need a break from repairing boats, steam engines, vintage vehicles, and everything mechanical, I channel my creativity into producing traditional painted items. From water cans and jugs to bowls, mugs, and coffee/tea pots, each piece is crafted with care. I have spent years studying and appreciating this art form, researching various artists and styles, and have developed my own unique style as a tribute to the talented boat painters of the past. My partner Julie and I run this venture together, united by our passion for the canals. In addition to our canal art, we also offer hand balm and reclaimed windlasses.
